2015 10 Blackpool Trip
Mael Gael trip to Blackpool on 17th Ocotober 2015
Mael Gael arranged a trip for their members and their family and friends mainly to see the Blackpool Illuminations. The coach left Norwood Hall at 8.30am and made a couple of stops during the journey to Blackpool. During the first break, all passengers enjoyed delicious Samosas with a hot cup of tea. At the second service stop, hot Parontas with mango pickle was served with a hot cup of tea. This was all prepared by Mr Kulwinder Singh Randhawa. All passengers were also given a sandwich, fruit and a bottle of spring water.
After spending three hours on the beach, the coach left for the light display. It is quite a spectacle to see featuring almost every kind of light display that you can possibly imagine from lasers, light bulbs to fibre optics, search lights and flood lighting. There is no end to the imagination used for numerous scenic designs and features with set pieces. The dazzling display of lights stretches almost six miles from Starr Gate to Bispham. Throughout the journey, the passengers were entertained with old songs and jokes. The coach returned Norwood Hall around 2.30am. This trip was made possible due to Mr Daljit Singh Grewal’s and Mrs Jagjit Kaur Grewal’s great efforts. On behalf of the Mael Gael Group, we thank all the passengers for their cooperation in making this trip a wonderful success.
