About Us

Staffed entirely by a team of volunteers, Mael Gael is an elderly and youth project based at Norwood Hall in Southall serving all sections of the community.

We run day centres, walk in advice services and group activities which accompany them. Special attention is paid to education, social welfare and health issues. Speakers are invited to give advice on nutrition, alzheimers, diabetes, dementia and other topics beneficial to the local community throughout the year.

Our elderly projects cater for the needs of senior men and women of varying religious and cultural backgrounds. Our aim is to remove isolation and loneliness whilst providing a high-quality service that actively promotes a better quality of life for seniors.

Youth projects aim to combat crime, substance abuse and behavioural challenges in young people.

Women’s projects are targeted to empower ladies to live confident independent lives through mutual support.

Cookery, light exercise, yoga, computer literacy, wrestling and English classes are organised.

Outings to the seaside and other places of interest are arranged. Social, cultural and religious festivals are celebrated.

Mael Gael continues to expand its services through a social enterprise model. The facilities at Norwood Hall are available for hire by other community groups or small businesses. The grounds are secured by CCTV and the building is fully accessible for the disabled

Our Supporters

Thank you to our wonderful sponsors! We extend our sincere appreciation to all our sponsors, without whom it would not be possible for us to run our programme of activities or support those less fortunate.
